Bhagalpur: One Md Parwez Alam (40), a resident of Sundarpur village at Pirpainty block, committed suicide on Monday at his rented house in Bhagalpur district. He worked as a manager in a share trading company and was married to Zeba Tabassum.
“Alam and Tabassum, who married each other eight years ago, now live separately,” said a source, adding a court case, seeking divorce and alimony from the deceased, was lodged by his wife. On Monday morning, Alam sent a WhatsApp message to his friends alleging that his wife and in-laws tortured him and pressurised him to kill himself. He ended the message with an ‘alwida’ (goodbye), said a source.
